Hyped in Black and White

The Story Behind "Let's Go"

July 10, 20261 min read

Most people assume fear is a sign that something is wrong.

That you're not ready.
That you need more time.
That you should wait until you're more confident.

The problem is that fear rarely shows up when nothing is at stake.

It tends to arrive when you're standing on the edge of something you've spent years preparing for.

A new career.
A new relationship.
A dream you've carried longer than you care to admit.

That's the moment fear starts making its case.

Maybe tomorrow would be better.
Maybe a little more preparation would help.
Maybe now isn't the right time.

The danger isn't fear itself.

The danger is believing it.

"Let's Go" started as a high-energy rock anthem. The kind of song you could hear behind a training montage, a sports highlight reel, or a movie trailer.

But somewhere along the way it became something more personal.

Because beneath all the energy and momentum is a simple idea:

Don't let fear convince you to abandon what you've spent years building.

There comes a point where preparation has done its job.

The work has been done.
The lessons have been learned.
The foundation has been laid.

All that's left is the decision.

The decision to step forward even though fear came along for the ride.

Because you'll never see me giving up while the last twenty years go up in smoke.

And that's why, when the moment finally arrives, there's only one answer left.

Let's Go.
